Festival for amateur tennis players held in Saint-Petersburg on May 21-22, 2005.
Finally, after the long winter and rainy spring, we've had the perfect shiny weather, well suited for tennis players to begin open-air season.
Tennis club "Lawn Tennis" hosted the amateur tennis festival for players of different levels - starting from 2.0-3.5 by NTRP classification, and up to 4.5 by that scale.
Just bare numbers:
totally there were 54 persons competing (some of them participated in singles and pairs);
32 players were competing in men singles;
28 players made 14 pairs to fight for victory in pairs;
7 beautiful women played gracefully their way in women singles.
This tournament was international. One of the prizes has been won by Secklhem Grunde from Norway (on the photo: left). He has beat in the final Konstantin Shaya-Zubrov (photo: right).
There were 4 different draws, depending on playing level. So we had 4 finals and 4 winners in men singles class:
First draw winner Secklhem Grunde
2nd draw winner Goryachenkov Vitaly
3rd draw winner Skurlov Petr
4th draw winner Kochkin Alexander
Beautiful women fought dramatically for their prize. The best of them proved to be Strunina Nadia (photo: right)
The prize in pairs ended up in hands of Smirnov (photo: right)-Balasanov (photo: in the center).
Tournament prizes, goddesses, spread their wings and wait for winners.
Tournament results are already counted in CREYDA.COM rating. You can look at it HERE
Good luck to all and see you on courts :)
